Raffle tickets will be available for 5 tickets for $5. But you can buy 15 tickets for $10. The more tickets you buy, the better chance you have of winning the best prize.

When booking your ticket, you need to select one of the 4 menu options, you can do this for each person you book. We need to inform Cattlemen’s of the number of different servings, this also saves time as they don’t have to ask each person what their order is. You will be given a dinner place card to display your order.

Norman spent 25 years working for the California State Legislature. Cancer awakened a desire to serve others.  He writes about the experience in Take Charge of Your Cancer. Plotkin’s second book, Master Mind Master Life, is about hypnotherapy. His third book, Meditation and the Meridians, was published recently.

Writing craft Do and Don’ts and examples of how NOT to write a short story.

Attendees will learn about:

  • Three elements of the perfect scene.
  • Hands on opportunity to write a good scene.
  • A list of do’s and don’ts on writing craft.
  • A fun exercise identifying how NOT to write a short story.
  • Exploring good dialogue techniques

Elaine has published ten mystery novels and an anthology of ‘cat’ stories. Her short stories appear in 22 anthologies. A member of Sisters in Crime, Northern CA Publishers and Authors, and Elk Grove Writer’s Guild, Elaine has led critique groups and enjoys mentoring new writers. She lives in Elk Grove with her husband and two cats.
