Jeff worked for 35 years in every aspect of the IT industry despite starting college in music and ending in philosophy. He began his career programming something called a “personal computer” and ended as the lead engineer in two major areas of California’s largest government data center. He has directed a church choir in the recording studio, groups of boys at summer camps, and many USA Swim meets.
His youthful accomplishments include class III whitewater kayaking, SCUBA diving on a Coast Guard warning day, and skiing double-diamond in a blizzard. During high school, he was even a guitarist in a rock band. Artistically, he is the proud owner of a professionally produced CD of his own music compositions.
Along the way, he spent many years studying ballroom dance, achieving a Full Silver certification. At home, he may be fixing his old truck, building a fence, or rewiring his house. He loves camping by a mountain lake or hanging with his kids, bonus kids, grandkids, and fiancée.
His house is stocked with a room full of Legos, a huge toy soldier collection, slot cars, hundreds of old movies, and history books. He remains an armchair philosopher and his writing shows that.
