Edward L. Moore III, M.A. Psych, was in his teens when he authored a Science Fiction short story for which he won a creative writing contest. He grew up in a house where reading was a valued pastime. Ed discovered the magic of the written word and the power of books to transport you to other places and introduce you to new ideas. He wrote several hundred stories, papers, and reports while in college earning two degrees in Psychology. His career in the medical and counseling/social work fields gave him a firsthand view of the best and worst of human nature – something that Ed seeks to bring to his writing. He is fond of saying, “If at first you don’t succeed . . . skydiving isn’t for you!”
In his spare time, Ed has authored several stories and articles featured in various Scottish/Irish heritage newsletters as well as two Scottish magazines. At present, he is working on publishing a medical memoir Strangled Voices which tells about he and his wife’s experiences with Spasmodic dysphonia, on a road to recovery.
He lives in Sacramento, California, with his wife Raiyn, and the ghost of a precocious black cat named Winston.
