The Sacramento Branch of the California Writers Club will be holding a book festival in Sacramento, McKinley Park.
Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sacramento has not experienced a book festival in many years. The California Writers Club is excited to restart such an important event in Sacramento. We intend to develop this into an annual Sacramento Capital Experience.
The CWC board has reserved ten booths as part of the McKinley Park Farmers Market. Each booth has a space of 10 feet by 10 feet, and we invite members to book a booth. The price for a booth is $50 for CWC Sacramento members. A booth can be for an individual, or typically, they are shared with another member, who can split the cost.
Please download the application form.
Nonmembers will be welcome, but priority is for CWC members. Nonmembers will be charged $60 per booth.
As usual, authors will be available to meet the public and talk about your writing. Signed copies of your work will be on sale, and feel free to expand your fan base.
Aspiring writers will be able to meet members of the California Writers Club, to gain guidance on how to develop their art. Leaflets and CWC promotional material will be available for distribution to visitors.

Please note that public liability insurance is covered by CWC special events insurance.
The Sacramento Book Festival will be adjacent to the McKinley Farmers Market. This provides mutual benefit of traffic. There will be plenty of street parking but after setting up your booth, please park remotely to allow customer traffic to be closer to the market area.
