Kimberly A. Edwards (Kimberlyedwards00@comcast.net), branch president since 2016, has championed writers and writing processes for 35 years. In the 1980’s she founded and published a 12-page monthly writers newsletter that gained mention in Publishers Weekly. Her article credits include Writer’s Digest, International Travel News, The Times of India, The Sacramento Bee, Cosmpolitan, Seventeen, ASJA (American Society of Journalists and Authors) Magazine, Independent (Independent Book Publishers Association), Sacramento News and Review, Senior Spectrum, Food Wineand Travel Magazine, and California Literature Review. Kim also writes literary nonfiction, illuminating life’s ironies and paradoxes. As facilitator of the Renaissance Society Memories and Memoir Seminar, she helps attendees turn memories into enduring stories. She has studied at both Kenyon Review Writer’s Workshop (Literary Nonfiction) and Squaw Valley of Writers (Fiction). With an M.A. in Education, she worked at the California State Department of Education, where she coordinated programs such as California Teachers of the Year, Milken Educator Awards, Blue Ribbon Schools, GED, and the Achieving Schools Conference. She is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and other organizations.
