November Writers Network: Open/Share Networking Meeting

The California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch’s monthly Writers Network’s breakfast meeting for November will be an opportunity for attendees to speak to the group about their writing, publishing, and the importance of these meetings. Come learn from the collected experiences of the group!

Writers Network is held the first Friday of every month at 9 AM at the International House of Pancakes (IHOP), 2216 Sunrise Blvd., Rancho Cordova (just north of Highway 50). No fee; order and pay for your own breakfast.   Get map

CWC OPEN MIC – TEN MINUTES OF FAME

Monthly Open Mic event will be held on the second Friday of the month as usual at Barnes & Noble Birdcage (6111 Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights, across from Sunrise Mall).

Start time:  7 PM (sign-up begins at 6:45)

An opportunity for writers to read their work, and for listeners to enjoy what writers throughout the Sacramento region are creating.

Participants are invited to read their work(s) and listen to the works of others. This is not a critique group or opportunity to promote projects. Content must be appropriate for a public audience.

FREE to the public.  Readers and listeners are welcome.

October Writers Network: Editors, illustrators, and promotion by Jeri Chase Ferris

The California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch’s monthly Writers Network’s breakfast meeting for October will feature Jeri Chase Ferris.

Ferris is the author of twelve biographies for children and young adults, including an historical fiction for young adults set during the WWII siege of Leningrad. Jeri will discuss how to deal with editors and illustrators and she will provide some insights into the all-important business of promotion.
