The California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch’s monthly Writers Network’s breakfast meeting for December will feature author/photographer Margie Yee Webb.
Margie Yee Webb will speak on “Creating and Publishing a Gift Book.” She is the author/photographer of Cat Mulan’s Mindful Musings: Insight and Inspiration for a Wonderful Life, a gift book for cat lovers and their finicky friends! The Sacramento Bee wrote: “The El Dorado Hills writer-photographer imparts words of wisdom, accented with pictures of her rescued cat.” A portion of sales is donated to animal welfare groups.
A member of the Cat Writers’ Association, Margie was awarded Certificates of Excellence in the “Gift” and “Color Photographs (series)” categories for Cat Mulan’s Mindful Musings in the Cat Writers’ Association 2011 Communications Contest. Her gift book was also recognized as a Finalist in the “Animals/Pets: Novelty” category in the USA “Best Books 2011” Awards sponsored by USA Book News.
Margie is immediate past president of the California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch (2007-2011) and earlier this year she received the Jack London Award for outstanding service. She is also a member of the Women’s National Book Association–San Francisco Chapter, Northern California Publishers & Authors, and Bay Area Independent Publishers Association.

Writers Network is held the first Friday of every month at 9 AM at the International House of Pancakes (IHOP), 2216 Sunrise Blvd., Rancho Cordova (just north of Highway 50).
