The 2023 Sierra Writers Conference celebrates the 20th anniversary of Sierra College Press and Standing Guard, its landmark book of stories about Japanese internment during WWII. This year’s conference draws on the talent of a diverse group of speakers to expound and provide instruction on stories of social justice, environmental concerns, and the craft of writing. Our event will be held both in-person and online from February 8th through the 16th.
