Penelope (Penny) Clark’s two passions are reading and writing, everything else comes in a distant second.
She’s a retired accountant. Being widowed in 2002 and retiring in 2004 gave her time to do what she’d wanted to do. She began a story and then stopped writing, setting unfinished chapters aside until 2010 when something clicked. Then she began a story and surprised herself when she finished it. She was on a roll and hasn’t stopped, yet.
Her reading history covers most genres and that is reflected in her writing, having written mysteries, historical westerns, fantasy with wolf-shifters, paranormal, and LGBTQ+ genres. Story ideas come easily to her, and she must write them or go crazy. At any one time, there are five ideas buzzing in her mind, so she’ll be busy for a while.
The Elk Grove Writers Guild is her home base, and she’s one of the founding members, and has been the treasurer since the Guild began, but hopefully, 2022 will be the last year. She is also the EGWG Newsletter Editor and enjoys that.
She lives near the southern Sacramento county border, and loves being in the country.
