The California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch’s Writers Network presents author and poet, Frances Kakugawa. Her presentation, appropriately enough, will be on the subject of How to Give Fabulous Presentations: How to be Invited Back Again and Again.
Frances is the author of 11 books, including children’s books in the Wordsworth
series. Her Books, Mosaic Moon: Caregiving Through Poetry
, and Breaking the Silence: A Caregiver’s Voice
, were written with a sympathetic eye toward the needs of
those who provide care for Alzheimer’s patients. Kapoho: Memoir of a Modern Pompeii, chronicles Frances’ life as a child in Hawaii during World War II and the destruction of her village of Kapoho by a volcanic eruption.
The public is invited. CWC membership not required.
Writers Network is held the first Friday of every month at the International House of Pancakes (IHOP), 2216 Sunrise Blvd., Rancho Cordova (just north of Highway 50) starting at 9 AM. Meetings are free. Attendees pay for their own breakfast. Get map
