The guest speaker at the Saturday, January 18, 2014 CWC luncheon will be Linda Joy Singleton, speaking on “How to stay published in a changing market.”
With over 20 years of publishing experience, Linda will share how she’s continued to sell books to traditional markets while also diving into e-publishing. She has worked for eight traditional publishers, had four agents, had books published in five languages and had a movie option with Fox.
Linda is the author of more than 35 books for kids, including YALSA-honored Young Adult series The Seer and Dead Girl Walking. Her first book, Almost Twins, was published in 1992 and her 2012 book, Buried: A Goth Girl Mystery, is a spin-off from The Seer series. On March 1, 2014, her first picture book, Snow Dog Seasons, will be published by Albert Whitman. She offers writing tips and more on her website LindaJoySingleton.com.
The monthly CWC luncheons are held at Cattlemens Restaurant, 12409 Folsom Blvd., Rancho Cordova from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the California Writers Week celebration.
As always, members and guests are welcome.

Cost is $14 for members, $16 for nonmembers.
The meeting fee includes buffet lunch and beverage.
