The California Writers Club, Sacramento Branch’s Writers Network presents El Dorado Hills bookstore owner Tina Ferguson, who will address the Writers Network breakfast meeting on the subject “Brave, Crazy and Clueless: How I Opened a Bookstore and Avoided a Midlife Crisis.”
After seventeen years as a stay-at-home mom, Tina opened the Face In A Book bookstorein the Town Center in El Dorado Hills. When she started her business over a year ago, she says “I’ve been called everything from courageous to crazy.” Since then she says she has been overwhelmed by the community support. She has shared that generosity by supporting regional authors, including some CWC members, by providing space for book signings and by taking their books on consignment for sale in the store.
The public is invited. CWC membership not required.
Writers Network is held the first Friday of every month at the International House of Pancakes (IHOP), 2216 Sunrise Blvd., Rancho Cordova (just north of Highway 50) starting at 9 AM. Meetings are free. Attendees pay for their own breakfast. Get map
